PADDY THRESHER
Quality Steel & Welding Works has introduced a fully automatic paddy thresher. The thresher is power-operated, and has a simple design and sturdy build. It has a V-Belt driven by a diesel engine or electric motor that is capable of threshing 700-1000 kg of paddy per hour, depending on crop conditions.

SPRAY PESTICIDE
Poly Chemical Industries have introduced a spray pesticide that is compatible with most spray fertilisers. For effective results, three sprays of a given concentration have to be used. The first spray should be administered 20-25 days after germination or transplanting. The second spray should be administered before the onset of flowering. The third spray should be given at the time of the fruit development or maturity stage.
The spraying can be done by any conventional system of spraying. The pesticide has to be dissolved in water, and then used. The concentration suggested is to dissolve 1,000 grams in 100 litres of water to keep the concentration at 1 per cent. This solution should be used for spraying on the leaves. For optimum results, it is desirable not to mix it with other pesticides or insecticides. Ideally, it should be sprayed during the cooler parts of the day.
